My main duties as the bookshop assistant are as follows:
- Management and ordering of stock including processing orders and invoices. 
- Handling, condition checking and selling of limited edition print and sculpture including preparing items for travel and keeping in communication with customers and enquiries. 
- Training new members of staff on the shop and reception systems clearly and openly. 
- Formal Stocktake processes. 
- Administrative roles include booking and managing deliveries via couriers for publishing houses, art collectors, patrons, trustees and general visitors. Navigating both national and international processes. 
- Having a reliable and extensive knowledge of Ikon’s history and archive. 
- Adapting my role to support the Front of House team by sharing reception duties, training them in specific administrative duties and keeping track of their general welfare. 
- Supporting the bookshop manager and the development team with feedback on the day to day retail experience by either face to face meetings or by providing specific data.
