Conservation Club at Birmingham Museums

We were trained in the Museum Collection Centre

Throughout the long dark Winter months of 2017/18 every few Wednesdays you would have found me volunteering with the Birmingham Museum's Conservation Club at various sites including the icy cold yet charming Aston Hall and the chilling yet lovely Sarehole Mill.

Getting to go behind the scenes at these amazing places and the conservators giving a hands only learning experience for people like me who have a real interest in collections and preservation was worth the risk of frostbite!
